Wish Upon a Star
We make wishes come true!
Sharron M. Pepper Wish Upon a Star Program

Thompson Health Senior Living Services launched its Wish Upon a Star program in the fall of 2010, with the hopes of involving the entire community in enhancing the lives of residents of our skilled-nursing facility and changing the perception of aging.

Residents of the 188-bed M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center enter their wishes into dream books. On a quarterly basis, five residents’ wishes are drawn by a “genie” and the committee then sets about making those wishes come true.
A wish might be anything from a hot air balloon ride, to a special dinner with family, to spending a day fishing. Fulfilling the wishes is at times challenging, but always meaningful. We create special memories for the residents and their families, as well as for staff and fellow residents.

Please consider supporting Wish Upon a Star today!

How you can help:
  • Volunteer your time and talent toward making wishes come true
  • Let our “Dreamweaver” know if you have goods, services and/or airline miles to donate
  • Make a financial contribution
For more information, please call the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center at 585-396-6040.
