Bowl for the Cure Raises $20,000 for Sands Cancer Center 05/19/2012  -  Roseland Bowl and members of the Canandaigua USBC Bowling Association raised a record $20,000 for Thompson Health’s Sands Cancer Center at the 4th Annual Bowl for the Cure, held on Friday, Feb. 10, and Saturday, Feb. 11.

THOMPSON GUILD RECOGNIZED BY HEALTHCARE ASSOCIATION 05/17/2012  -  The Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) recently awarded 2011 Auxiliary Advocacy Recognition to the Thompson Guild. New Surgical Care Center Opening at F.F. Thompson Hospital 03/14/2012  -  A new Surgical Care Center at F.F. Thompson Hospital will open on Monday, March 19, in the Constellation Center for Health and Healing, located on the main Thompson Health campus at 350 Parrish St., Canandaigua.

5th Graders Donate DVDs to Surgical Care Center 03/01/2012  -  Four classes of fifth-graders at Canandaigua Elementary School recently collected and donated nearly 70 DVDs to Thompson Health’s Surgical Care Center, providing a more varied selection of movies for children to watch during their stays at F.F. Thompson Hospital.

Public Health Insurance Enrollment Now in Livingston County 02/29/2012  -  Thompson Health’s facilitated enrollers are now authorized to assist residents in Livingston County with signing up for Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus and Medicaid. In a confidential atmosphere, they collect income, residency and citizenship information, assist in completing the applications necessary and forward the completed application to the correct agency.

Ferris Hills to Host Global Affairs Discussions 01/16/2012  -  Ferris Hills at West Lake, Thompson Health’s independent living community for seniors, will once again this year host Great Decisions, the nation’s longest-running global affairs education program.

‘Be a Santa to a Senior’ with Store’s Angel Tree 11/25/2011  -  Kinney Drugs at 401 S. Main St. in Canandaigua has an “angel tree” with ornaments representing gift requests for more than two dozen residents of the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center, Thompson Health’s skilled-nursing facility.

Presentation for Seniors at Ferris Hills Dec. 2 11/16/2011  -  Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero, the Ontario County Office for the Aging and the SALT (Seniors And Lawmen Together) Council will host an interactive presentation regarding fall prevention on Friday, Dec. 2, at Ferris Hills at West Lake.
